In today’s world, looking put together has become, an important part of professionalism.
People will observe you on every occasion as you meet them. When you look polished you seem to be in tune with the world. It boosts your confidence and self-admiration.
For a put-together look, you don’t need, frequent shopping trips or a whole lot of new stuff. You just need good skincare, haircare, and styling routine. And make most of what you already have.
Here I have split the steps into two parts, you want to follow both parts, to obtain the desired results.
Eyebrows and facial hair removal is a crucial part of grooming since it gives a clean look. Following a good skin care routine, is important to have smooth and supple complexion.
Apply hair mask for pre-conditioning treatment. Shampoo your hair as required depending on the season – in summers you’ll need frequent shampooing while in colder months you can keep it once or twice a week. Dry your hair on cold setting if you like to use the dryer after shampooing.
For special occasions – use hair straightener/curler. Get a regular haircut done to avoid split-ends.
3. Arms & Legs:
Shave or wax (whichever you like) once a month or depending on the hair growth. Do manicure & pedicure yourself at home (more on these shortly).
All these things will give you a fresh natural look. Then the next part is
4. Quick and Easy Makeup:
Have a preferred makeup look with your favorite products. The basics include BB/CC cream, Compact, Brow pencil/kit, eyeliner pencil for tight-lining (optional), mascara, blush, Lipsticks/gloss, and nail paints.
Keep the lip and nail shade based on the dress color and style (example: muted shades for casual wear and brighter ones for night outs). Also, while applying BB/CC cream and compact make sure to cover the neck area and the area behind the ears. Apply body butter to hands and feet.
5. Quick and Easy Hairdo:
Try some quick and easy hairdos (Ponytails, Updos, Braids) on a relaxing day to see what suits your face. Pick 2-3 of them, which looks best, and have them as go-to hairstyles.
Choose the outfits according to your body type (pear, hourglass, apple, etc.,). Further, while selecting the colors, consider your skin tone (warm/cool/neutral). That way you won’t go wrong with the purchases.
I always believe, Less Is More, when it comes to jewelry. Keep it to the minimal and I am sure you’ll love it.
A pair of sunglasses, a nice feminine perfume, comfortable footwear, a stylish belt, and a classy/casual watch is what one needs to look nicely put together.
In this article, I encourage the stay-at-home mommies & wives, to take good care of themselves since we (including me) tend to neglect ourselves while taking care of our homes and our families.
