In your 20s, you feel like you’re indestructible…In your 30s, you think…I’ll be around here a little longer, so I’m going to take better care of myself. – John Belushi
Entering your 30s means experiencing the feeling of becoming a Complete Woman. The age when most of us are – at the peak of our career, a skillful homemaker, a matured wife, a caring daughter, a responsible daughter-in-law, a motivating mommy, and a wise friend. We enjoy doing all of it.
After marriage, we become a mature, and responsible person as if it was built-in. But at the same time, life is also chaotic, playing so many roles and trying to perfect them.
Despite, all the hard work and efforts, we put in to fulfill every role; we should always enjoy every moment of it. Since we’re not going to get these days back again.
Until now, we went through many, ups and downs in life. Some ways we made the right decisions and other ways a lot of learning from what went wrong.
With all the lessons learned I have found some ways by which you can make the 30s the best time of your life.
1) Time Management:
This is the most important point in making your 30s blissful. Since all the nagging and yelling starts when things go unorganized and we run behind the time.
A little prep up the night before such as taking out the clothes, packing kid’s school bags, breakfast and lunch box prep-up; having good schedules and routines, cuts the chaos leading to a peaceful start to the day.
2) Sound Sleep:
Getting good sleep is important for us to perform daily tasks efficiently and effectively. Have you noticed, how your productivity levels drop, after a late night out or a sleepless night?
That’s because your body needs good rest, to recharge itself, to function properly. Sound sleep also regulates the hormones, which help us to overcome stress, irritation, anxiety, and depression.
3) Eating home-cooked food:
The best way to take care of yourself and your family is by serving them hot and delicious freshly cooked meals. That way, you take charge of your and your family’s health and keep fit.
Additionally, never overlook the power of our traditional recipes, since that’s the secret our grandmas and grandpas had stronger bones, endurance, healthy skin and hair.
At this time, you should start taking your health seriously. Everything from skin, hair, teeth, bones, muscles, and most significantly the metabolism starts weakening after the age of 35 and the early signs of aging become visible.
Doing 30 minutes of exercise, 5 days a week, is all one needs to keep fit and healthy.
Exercise improves stamina, flexibility, strengthen bones, tones muscles, facilitates proper nutrients absorption, etc., and much more needed to maintain good health and to look younger.
5) Make some friends:
there’s nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship. – Thomas Aquinas
Find true friends and they’ll enhance the quality of your life. Meeting your friends once a week will be a refreshing activity. And, if you meet them outdoors in a park, in the open air, will be the icing on the cake.
Arrange a play date for your kids with their daddy and take some time off your responsibilities. While you’re with your friends, truly indulge in the activity leaving all the worries at home.
6) Remove unwanted stuff from your life:
Make it a point to remove the needless things in your life. This includes physical as well as mental stuff such as unwanted clothes, makeup, toys, kitchen stuff, toxic things, toxic people, etc.,
Anything and everything that clutters your mind needs to go. Having people and things, you genuinely love, is the key to living a blissful life.
7) Dress up every day:
This is the time your skin and hair needs extra care. Both women working outside or from home should make sure to maintain proper hygiene and learn ways to look nicely put together.
No matter how busy you are, these small things will cheer up your mood, every single day.
8) Get hold of your finances:
Now is the time, to make wise decisions about your finances. Plan the security of your health, kid’s education, home plans, trips, retirement, etc., Have separate savings account without a credit card to avoid spending, find ways to save money, learn about handling the finances appropriately and make most of your earnings.
9) Have a clean and organized home:
A clean and organized home really adds up to the quality of your living. Figure out what routines and schedules suit your lifestyle.
Form habits that will keep your home manageable. Create a peaceful and safe environment for you and your family.
Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune. – Jim Rohn
Incorporate at the minimum 15 minutes of reading into your day. This will make a huge difference in your life. It’ll aid in your decision making, improve your emotional health, focus, concentration, memory and relieve stress.
11) Treasure your family:
In the daily hustles of life, while maintaining the work-home balance, often we miss living the small moments with our loved ones.
I agree that we work for our family, but sometimes, spending a little time with them is much needed than buying them some expensive gifts.
There’s nothing precious than having a loving and caring family around. We, women, are capable of turning any chaotic situation into a happy moment. Treasure the love of your husband, kids, and parents who depend on you.
We want to take a moment to listen to the deep voice inside which tells what’s good for us and what’s not. But we live a life, where we have lost ourselves, trying to keep up the raising standards of society.
We need to slow down and take pleasure in enjoying the small things in life which money can’t buy.
