    Makeup plays a significant role in your professional life and so does going overboard. And, what if it steals the precious time of your mornings? Applying a lot of products every day also seems impractical.

    No-Makeup Makeup Look For Busy Women

    A no-makeup, makeup can be worn anywhere – from office to grocery shopping, when hosting a party at home, for a day time formal event or a casual outing with friends.

    So, what is a no-makeup, makeup look?

    Basically, a no-makeup look involves makeup using the bare minimum products, for an ‘au naturale’ look.

    First, let’s determine how do you want your makeup to be?

    Do you prefer enhanced eye-look, well-defined lips, or an even complexion? Choosing a style is a great way to make most out of your no-makeup look. We all love to intensify at least one part of our face. A no-makeup look should enable you to add a personal touch to your makeup.

    I highly recommend having a separate bag for these products so you don’t have to sift through all the products when in a hurry.

    Read:

    Before starting with the makeup, ensure good skincare i.e., cleansing, toning & moisturizing, sun protection, and lip balm 10-15 minutes prior to applying makeup.

    Flawless skin:

    What you need:

    • Concealer
    • BB/CC cream (since these are easy to blend with fingers)
    • Setting powder
    • blush
    • Highlighter
    • Bronzer (optional)
    • Eyebrow pencil
    • Mascara
    • Lip stain/gloss

    1. Apply a BB/CC cream and blend it well.

    2. Conceal only the required areas.

    3. Apply setting powder with a brush.

    4. Define the eyebrows.

    5. Tight-line using a flesh-colored eye-pencil (optional).

    6. Put a couple of coats of mascara.

    7. Apply a natural-color blush on the apples of the cheeks.

    8. Use very little highlighter on the high points of the face for a glowy finish.

    9. Bronzer can be used as a contouring product to balance the highlighter effect.

    10. Dab some lipstick on the lips for a stained look.

    What you need:

    • Concealer
    • Compact powder
    • Blush
    • Eyebrow product
    • Brown/Black pencil eyeliner (pencils, because they’re easy to work with than liquid formula)
    • Mascara
    • Lip gloss/stain

    1. Apply concealer on the under-eyes, eye-lids, and on the dark spots and blend it properly.

    2. Set it with a compact powder using a puff.

    3. Fill the eyebrows.

    4. Apply a brown eyeliner pencil on the upper lashline really close to the lashes( you can wing it if you wish to). Now, you can either keep it that way or smudge the eyeliner for a smokey look. If you like heavily kohled eyes, then only tight-line the upper lashline and apply a thick layer of kohl on the bottom lashline (in this case, a black eyeliner looks wonderful).

    5. Tight-line using the same pencil.

    6. Apply generous coats of mascara.

    7. Use a muted blush for balance.

    8. Put some lipgloss or lip stain to finish the look.

    Well-defined Lips:

    What you need:

    • Concealer/BB cream
    • Setting powder
    • Blush
    • Eyebrow pencil
    • Mascara
    • lipliner
    • Lipsticks
    • lip gloss

    1. Apply BB cream on the face and on the lips. If you’re using a concealer, make sure to conceal the lips.

    2. Set it with powder.

    3. Do your eyebrows.

    4. Put some mascara.

    5. Apply a light blush.

    6. Line the lips following the shape of your lips. (optional)

    7. Put your favorite lipstick.

    8. Top it up with a gloss.

    Pro Tip: Look for a medium-high coverage pressed powder or one-step powder foundation to speed up the base makeup process.

    Final Words:

    If there’s an option for me to get up 15-20 minutes early to do the makeup or sleep for another 10 or 15 minutes & skip or eliminate a few steps from applying makeup, then I would choose the latter one for life.

    Why? Because I think you’ll look & perform better when you’re well-slept. Your makeup should include the only steps which are necessary and don’t hesitate to get rid of all the others.

    Every woman dreams of pretty hands and feet. And, why shouldn’t we, for our hands and feet be spotted quite often? There are two groups of women though.

    Group one always looks like they just stepped out of a nail salon, and group two, who are unable to remove even a worn-off nail paint. Nothing can be unimpressive like chipped nails, dry hands, or cracked feet.

    On the other side, clean hands and feet, even with simple coats of nail paint, can raise internal positiveness beyond the outer look. It is an indication of self-love.

    The skin on our hands and feet is exposed to sun rays, dirt, pollution as much as our facial skin, and so, it demands attention equivalently.

    Prep up

    Remove previously applied nail polish, if any. Trim the nails as per the length and file them into the shape of your choice.     Soak

    Lay a medium size towel on the floor. Place a bowl filled with warm water on it (the bowl should be large enough to place your hands/feet). Put some shower gel into the water and soak your hands or feet (in case of a pedicure) in it for a good 5-10 minutes.

    As a natural variant – add 1/4 cup of milk and some rose petals to the water to prepare a foot soak. This will be a great cuticle softener and will moisturize dry skin.

    Scrub

    For the manicure, apply the body scrub to both the arms and massage them using light pressure.

    Use a body scrub to exfoliate legs and feet and a pumice stone for the foot sole. A pumice stone works best if lathered up with a moisturizing gel/soap for rubbing the hardened areas of skin in a circular motion. Be gentle and do not rub vigorously or you’ll make the skin sore.

    Lightly scrub finger/toenails with a nailbrush. Dip the hands/feet in water to wash the scrub off. This is the right time to clean underneath the nails with an orange stick. Push the cuticles back and pat dry your arms/feet.

    Apply a pack

    Apply an anti-tanning pack, a regular mud pack, a brightening pack, or a moisturizing one according to the skin type and season, all over the arms and feet for 10-12 minutes. And wash it off with clean water.

    Massage

    This is a very important step in the process. Massage a generous amount of nourishing cream into the skin. Massaging stimulates blood circulation which gives the skin a healthy glow.

    Now, if you have extra time here, I’ll strongly suggest wrapping your arms/feet in a food wrapper film (cling film) for 5-10 minutes. This will help the nourishing cream to seal moisture in the outer layer of the skin making it soft and supple.

    Nail Enamel

    The final and best part is the nail polish application. Wipe off the nails of any oil from the massage cream. Apply a base coat and let it dry first. Next, apply two-three thin coats of nail polish in short breaks (2-3 minutes), allowing each layer to dry out well to avoid smudging.

    Once dry, apply the topcoat for the nail polish to last longer. Dip the nails in ice water for a couple of minutes to speed up the drying process. You can learn nail art designs online if you love trendy nails.

    Final Words

    These manicure-pedicure steps should be followed once a month. In between, wax or shave for a neat appearance.

    A face cloth with a little shower gel can be used for daily exfoliation. Change the nail paint weekly for a fresh and well-maintained look. On the flip side, make sure to give your nails a break from polish to give them some time to breathe. Nightly, using a rich moisturizer, almond, or coconut oil will be beneficial for deeper nourishment. Wear socks overnight for soft feet the following morning.

    The hard work you go through during this process will be worthwhile when you see a rise in your confidence and when it looks beautiful.

And, if you’re new to exercising or have never done it before – it’s mandatory to learn the correct alignment and techniques from a reputed fitness center under the supervision of a certified instructor. Later, you can start doing alone at home as you master it.)

    I can’t stress enough this one. It’s imperative. You require a short break, from any and every type of work, in order to be efficient and to endure. Or else the physical and mental fatigue will affect your health and relationships.

    Pick a day, when you can take the time off from cooking, cleaning, housework, and office work. And, spend this day with your family or do what you love.

    For me, it’s when my husband is not working. So, we both can have a wonderful time together. This gives a boost to perform the week’s activities gracefully. Try it and let me know.

    4. Take care of yourself:

    Care for your health just as you do for your family. Have meals on time, hydrate yourself, do a quick 10 minutes workout, and get enough sleep. Groom yourself and wear nice dresses.

    Now, this is a big ONE. Homemaking is an occupation, and if you work from home, that means your home is your workplace in two ways.

    It’s okay to not do your hair, bath, or dress up once in a while since that’s the main advantage of working from home. You have the freedom to be in your pajamas, look like a hot mess and smell gross.

    But if you want to be productive, you’ve got to take a shower and dress up first thing in the morning. You should never lose an opportunity to look your best. Your husband should feel refreshed, looking at you, when he’s home from work compared to his (female) colleagues. You know what I mean.

    5. Find ways to simplify your household tasks:

    Try different methods, see what works for you, and stick to them. Use different apps, planners, and printables; watch cleaning, cooking, organizing, and kid’s activities videos on youtube, or read articles on google to learn simple techniques to carry out daily tasks effortlessly.

    There’s so much detailed information available out there. I’m sure you’ll find pretty much everything for yourself.

    6. Stay active on social media:

    By staying active, I mean, keeping up with what’s happening around the world, staying connected with your friends, and learning new things about your work and life.

    I don’t mean, posting the updates continually and keeping on counting the likes and comments.

    No, that’s a trap.

    That’ll obstruct your efficiency and leave you distracted and disappointed.

    7. Buy something for yourself every month:

    This inessentially means buying something high-end or expensive. Although, you can do that if your budget allows you to.     Yoga also increases mindfulness towards eating healthy which brings me to the next point.

    2. Eat Healthy Food

    Start your day with some fruits or nuts along with a nutritious breakfast.

    Avoid junk food such as aerated drinks, packaged juices, and processed food as it worsens PMS and causes painful menstruation.

    3. Get Good Rest

    Getting enough sleep is vital to maintaining a healthy balance of hormones. Avoid physically or mentally strenuous activities on days of heavy flow.

    I’d suggest avoiding exercise as well. A 10-15 mins normal walk or low-moderate activities should be sufficient.

    4. Meditation/Deep breathing

    Meditate to relax the body and mind.

    If there’s insufficient time to meditate, do some deep breathing; it soothes the nervous system, improves mood, and overcomes irritability to a great extent.

    5. Use comfy sanitary products

    Try maxis/ultra-large sanitary pads for a heavier flow, and dry covers XXL/XXXL wings for nights to prevent staining. Pantyliners for lighter flow.

    Also, be sure to change and freshen up every 4-5 hours. (Note: I have no experience with tampons/other products so there’s no mention about it. You can definitely go ahead with the products that you love)

    6. Pamper Yourself

    This is a basic routine that anyone with normal/oily/combination, or dry skin can follow.

    People with sensitive skin should follow the advice of their dermatologist.

    DAILY

    1) Cleansing:

    a) Remove the eye makeup using a cotton wipe and good-quality makeup remover.

    Take some remover on a cotton ball and hold it gently over the closed eyelashes for a few seconds; wait for the mascara to dissolve, and then wipe it off. Use a cotton swab (Q-tip) to clean further thoroughly.

    This step is required only if you’ve applied eye makeup. Otherwise, start the routine from step (b).

    b) Apply cleansing lotion to the face and massage for a couple of minutes until the makeup breaks down. Wipe off with a cotton pad, a damp sponge, or even better – using tissues/baby wipes.

    After this, cleanse your face with a mild facial wash.

    Follow step (b) even when you’ve not applied any makeup to remove the oil, dirt, and grime. This step is essential for deep cleansing (aka double cleansing).

    2) Toning:

    Use an alcohol-free toner for normal or combination skin, or an astringent lotion if you have extremely oily skin. People with dry skin can skip this step.

    3) Moisturizing:

    Apply moisturizing lotion on your face in upward strokes, covering the neck area as well.

    A moisturizer that dries to a matte finish or a gel-based one will be a good pick for oily skin. Dry skin beauties can use a day cream for deep moisturization.

    Moisturize for at least 15-20 minutes before applying the makeup to ensure that the product sinks well into the skin.

    Moisturizing at night is essential to experience well-hydrated, soft, and smooth skin the next morning.

    4) Eye-Cream:

    Choose a good eye cream or gel, and apply it gently under the eye area. Include this step in your night skincare routine.

    You can start using an eye cream from your late 20s to prevent wrinkles and puffiness around the eyes.

    5) Lip Balm:

    Exfoliate your lips after washing your face every day.

    You can use a washcloth to gently scrub off the dead skin from the lips. And apply a good lip balm.

    If you have pigmented lips, use a mix of almond oil and vitamin E oil, and apply it to the lips regularly to get rid of the pigmentation.

    6) Exfoliating:

    Take a fine granule gentle exfoliator, dot it on a damp face, and scrub in a light circular motion.

    Choose a face mask according to your skin type – moisturizing masks for dry skin, clay/mud packs for oily skin.

    Apply the face mask, leave it for 5-10 minutes, and rinse off with lukewarm water. Or follow the instructions on the product.

    Follow this step, 1-2 times a month if you’re under 30, and weekly for 30+ women.

    For any marriage to survive, you have to get rid of the ego. Know that love is all about giving what you’ve got and not expecting.

    Give attention to his or her physical and emotional needs. Make every effort to fulfill it.

    Focus on your spouse’s interests, likes, and dislikes.

    Support each other.

    Take pride in each other’s accomplishments.

    This is possible only when you love unconditionally which brings me to the next point.

    3) Love Unconditionally:

    Loving your spouse unconditionally will ensure forgiveness, care, and respect — the key ingredients of a successful marriage. Truly accept each other with all the good things and also imperfections. Focus only on your partner’s good qualities. Let there be only love in its purest form.
